AloKafana
Privacy Policy

AloKafana has no user accounts and does not track how you use the app. There is no analytics, no advertising, and no advertising identifier. The one third-party component is Google's push-notification service, described below.
Location
If you allow it, AloKafana reads your device location to show how far each kafana is and to list the nearest ones first.
- Your location is used only on your device. It is never sent to us or to anyone else, and it is never stored.
- Location is optional. Decline it and the app works normally, listing venues by rating instead of distance.
- You can change this at any time in iOS Settings.
What is stored on your device
- Your saved kafanas — a list of venue identifiers, kept on your device only. They are not synced anywhere and are deleted with the app.
- A copy of the venue list, so the app works offline.
- A flag recording that you have seen the intro screens.
None of this leaves your phone.
Network connections
The app makes exactly two kinds of request:
- The venue list, downloaded from our address at
alokafana-data.pages.dev, hosted by Cloudflare. Like any web server, Cloudflare processes your IP address to deliver the file. We do not add any identifier to this request, and we do not track it. - Venue photographs, which are loaded directly from Google's image servers. This means Google receives your IP address when photos load, as it would if you opened a web page containing those images. This happens because venue information and photos come from Google Maps data.
Push notifications
The app includes Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google) so we can send notifications, such as an alert that a venue you follow has an event tonight.
- Google issues a registration token that identifies this installation of the app so a notification can be delivered to it. Basic device and operating-system information is processed alongside it.
- This token is not linked to your name, email or any account, because the app has none.
- Firebase Analytics is not included in this app. We do not collect screens viewed, sessions, or usage statistics.
- You will only be asked to allow notifications when there is something to send. Declining changes nothing else, and you can change it in iOS Settings.
- Google acts as our processor for this. See Firebase's privacy information.
Children
AloKafana lists venues that serve alcohol and is not directed at children.
Your rights
We hold no account, name, email or usage history for you, so there is no profile to export or correct. The one identifier that exists is the push-notification token, which is tied to the app installation rather than to you. Deleting the app invalidates that token and removes everything stored on your device. For anything else, email us.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top will change with it.
